On August 17, 2024, Sichuan Guokangyuan Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guokangyuan") ushered in a milestone new chapter. The first Russian imported black and white peat special train entered Sichuan at the same time through the China Europe freight train. A total of 62 containers were loaded with high-quality peat raw materials, marking a major breakthrough in Guokangyuan's resource introduction in the peat field.
As a subordinate enterprise of Sichuan State owned Assets Management and Investment Co., Ltd., Guokangyuan earnestly fulfills its mission, actively responds to the "the Belt and Road" initiative, deeply integrates into the construction of "Tianfu Granary", carefully allocates high-quality resources from the global market, introduces high-quality peat raw materials, and aims to build a modern agricultural production system with high yield, quality, efficiency, ecology, and safety.
Peat is known as the "black gold of soil", an organic substance formed by the long-term accumulation of incompletely decomposed plant residues. It is the best soil improvement and fertile material for modern agriculture, and also one of the best production materials for the development of organic agriculture. It can be widely used in high value-added agricultural projects and ecological restoration projects such as crop seedling cultivation, flower planting, soilless cultivation, desert control, mine restoration, saline alkali land transformation, etc. It has significant advantages such as high organic matter content, high humic acid content, green safety, water and fertilizer retention, breathable rooting, suitable pH value and EC value.
The entry of black and white peat into Sichuan this time has profound and significant implications. On the one hand, high-quality peat will be used by Guokangyuan to produce high-end organic fertilizers, soil amendments, and high-end substrates, providing a solid material foundation and raw material guarantee for building the "Tianfu Granary" and becoming an important force in promoting the development of new quality productivity. On the other hand, it will strongly support the development of the Sichuan peat industry chain, promote collaborative innovation between upstream and downstream industries, and drive technological upgrading and layout optimization.
Guokangyuan currently has two major peat deep processing bases in Pujiang and Wenjiang, and plans to build multiple peat import distribution bases and deep processing and utilization bases in Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, etc. It has also established multiple peat mining bases in Russia (Eastern Europe and Far East), Estonia, Latvia and other countries. By building advanced production capacity and combining it with Guokangyuan's independently developed biological agents and innovative scientific research achievements, we aim to assist China's agricultural green transformation and sustainable development.
